The program is seeking Remote workers with jobs on the Mainland to come to Hawaii by offering airfare and deep discounts to stay at Waikiki hotels. The intent is to bring new skills and knowledge to Hawaii while also asking participants to give back to the community by volunteering with local nonprofits. It’s also a way to generate business for hotels while tourism is low because of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Only 50 applicants will be selected and so far there have been an overwhelming 50,000 applicants for the program. This really shows the demand for Hawaii and an opportunity for remote workers to live in Hawaii and support our local economy.
