We are thrilled to see our Kmart deal growing into bigger and better things by expanding into a multiple tenant building with stores like Longs Drugs, PetSmart, and Ross Dress for Less. It is exciting for Iwilei and the surrounding area because of the growth and potential of a deal like this. Duane Shimogawa wrote an article about this redevelopment in Pacific Business News where he says, “The total estimated cost for the redevelopment project is pegged at about $19.7 million. The project is expected to start construction in the second quarter of this year and be substantially completed by the second quarter of 2017.” It’s nice to see a deal we brokered come to fruition like this and see its impact on the surrounding area. Our team can’t wait to see how this deal and the expansion of this property will grow the potential of Iwilei.
