“Construction is scheduled to officially begin on West Oahu’s first limited-service hotel this week in Kapolei. Kapolei Hotel Partners LLC, which is headed by a couple of Utah-based firms, along with Group 70 International and Layton Construction, the architect and general contractor, respectively, for the Embassy Suites by Hilton hotel, plan to hold a groundbreaking and ground blessing ceremony on Thursday at the hotel’s site on Manawai Street in Kapolei,” writes Duane Shimogawa in a PBN article from earlier this week. The brand new limited-service hotel will have 180 suites, a restaurant, a bar, a swimming pool, and meeting rooms. It is the first hotel in West Oahu outside of a resort and there are other hotels like this one soon to come. Even though the Courtyard by Marriott has been scrapped, there is still a Hampton Inn & Suites being built at the Ka Makana Alii shopping center.
It is very exciting to see the West side of the island growing at such a rapid rate for all kinds of travelers: families, low-income, business, leisure, etc. There are plenty of opportunities for great businesses and revenue on West Oahu and we at Bratton Realty Advisors are excited to see what’s to come.
